What is a serviced apartment?

A serviced apartment (or aparthotel) offers facilities like a traditional hotel. The additional value of a service apartment over a regular hotel room is that you get more space, kitchen or kitchenette, convenience, and privacy like a true home. Enabling you to live like a local when traveling – and usually at a lower cost than a hotelroom.

What is the difference between a studio and a 1-bedroom apartment?

A studio has an open space plan. This means that it is an open living area in which there are no separate rooms. A 1-bedroom apartment consists of one bedroom and separate living area.

How many guests can stay in my serviced apartment?

This depends on the apartment that you booked. Generally speaking, the following rules apply:

Studio - maximum two persons
1-bedroom apartment – 2 persons
2-bedroom apartment - 4 persons
3-bedroom apartment – 6 persons

In case you are travelling with children, please inform our consultants or mention this in the enquiry.

What is the pet policy in serviced apartments?

Some accommodations will allow pets; however, every accommodation has its own pet policy. For more information please refer to the ‘Facilities’ tab on the specific accommodation page on our platform. Please inform our consultants if you bring your pet with you.

What are the facilities in my accommodation?

The most important facilities are shown on our platform. In the offer and/or confirmation, the actual facilities and conditions are provided.
The information about accommodations and facilities is provided by the locations. No rights can be obtained from this information.

Can I make an online reservation?

Via our platform, you can either request a proposal for an apartment directly, or add it to Your Preferred Selection where your accommodations are saved. You can add up to 3 different accommodations to Your Preferred Selection for which you can request a proposal. Once the request is made, Serviced Apartments by Preferred will get back to you with a tailor-made offer.

Can I also ask for your help if I do not book an apartment on a regular base?

Yes! We are more than happy to assist with all corporate requests. It doesn’t matter how often you book an accommodation. It is our pleasure to assist you!

Is there a minimum length of stay required to book an apartment?

This varies per accommodation and request. For some accommodations a minimum length of stay applies. If a minimum stay applies to your request, our consultants will inform you about it.

Can I make any special requests at the accommodation?

During the reservation process, you have the opportunity to make a special requests. Upon your request, we will inform you if/when/how the accommodation can fulfill your request.

What cancellation policy applies to my reservation?

Each accommodation has its own cancellation policy. You can find the cancellation policy for each accommodation listed on the ‘Policies & conditions” tab on the property page on our platform.
The exact policy may vary per request, Preferred will inform you on the policy that applies to your request in the offer.

How can I amend my reservation?

If you need to amend your reservation, please contact one of our consultants. All changes are subject to availability and if you wish to shorten your stay, cancellation charges may apply.

What check-in and check-out times apply to my reservation?

At most properties you can check in from 3pm, however this varies per location. Check out is in general between 10am and noon. The information on check-in and check-out times is available on the property page on our platform.

How can I check in to my accommodation?

This depends on the accommodation you book. When confirming the booking, we will inform you on the check-in policy that applies to your reservation. In general, it will be one of the following procedures:

- 24-hour reception or concierge: similar to what you would expect in a hotel.
- Self-check-in: We provide access codes for access to the main building and key safe.
- Off-site check-in and key collection: keys will need to be collected from a location different than your apartment.

Why do you request a credit card and expiration date when making a reservation?

We often haven to ask for a guarantee when making a booking. It is necessary to provide a credit card and expiration date to guarantee your accommodation for late arrival and for the accommodation to have in case of no show. If you do not have a credit card please contact one of our hotel consultants to discuss alternative options.

What are my payment options?

A payment via bank transfer or credit card is required most of the times prior to arrival of the guests. In case of credit card payment, sometimes accommodations require a credit card authorisation form which is completed by the card holder. We will inform you about the exact payment policy in the offer you receive.
